I’m Zhiting Lu. I live in Barcelona, where I code with purpose and build for the future.
I’ve been fascinated by technology ever since I was 10 years old, spending most of my after-school hours in the computer room at school. That’s where I first realized the power of creation through technologies — and I’ve been hooked ever since.
While in university, I launched my first startup: an e-commerce app built to help fund my studies. It was scrappy, ambitious, and full of bugs — but it worked. More importantly, it taught me what I loved most about development: the creative freedom to solve real-world problems through thinking, design, and code.
Before fully moving into software development, I’ve worked across different career paths and industries, which helped me develop stronger collaboration and communication skills. These experiences shaped how I work with stakeholders and translate diverse needs into clear, actionable solutions.
The challenges of building software are what keep me coming back. I enjoy the process, celebrate the breakthroughs, and value every lesson learned along the way. Over time, each new skill has added up to a developer mindset — one built on curiosity, persistence, and growth.
I thrive in environments where I’m encouraged to explore new ideas, experiment freely, and collaborate with others who challenge and inspire me. In my free time, I dive into side projects and freelance work to keep learning — whether it’s testing modern architectures like microservices and monorepos, or deploying cloud-native solutions.
Lately, I’ve been exploring AI and blockchain — not just because they’re where the future is headed, but because they represent the next chapter in what has always driven me: the thrill of building what’s next.
